Ketso Gordhan

BA, M. Phil
– Chairperson & Mentor

Ketso, with nearly 40 yrs of experience across General Management, Finance, Private Equity and Development Finance, serves as the CEO of the SA SME Fund, a fund of funds that allocates capital to both Small Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds. He has worked for the CDC (2 years), South Africa’s largest cement manufacturer PPC (2 years) and spent 8 years managing Rand Merchant Banks Private Equity Business. He is a significant angel investor into start-up businesses. After gaining a BA degree in South Africa (1980-83) and an MPhil in Development Economics at Sussex (1987-89), he worked in Government, first as the Director General of Transport and then City Manager of Johannesburg. He worked for the UDF and the ANC in the 1980's culminating in the role of managing the ANC election campaign in 1994.

Sakti Mukherjee

Sakti has over 40 yrs of experience in building & managing diverse businesses that include Restructuring, Turnaround & multiple M&As transactions. His journey from being a Shift-engineer to holding multiple Board-roles make him a humble but powerful Leadership Coach and a Management Strategist. Sakti is a Marshall Goldsmith Certified CEO & Executive Coach. He is also a Certified Balanced Scorecard Practitioner. Sakti has served as a CEO / Group-CEO / Board Member of several large businesses in India & Africa over the last 3 decades. He worked as an Investment Director in Africa for CDC Group PLC, UK and played a leading role in setting up the CDC East Africa Office in Nairobi, Kenya. .

Simant, has a CPA coupled with nearly 25 years of management consultancy and assurance role experience with International consulting firms, Simant has serviced successfully Fortune 100, MNCs, Listed companies and family-owned businesses in Africa, India, UK, US and Canada. Simant co-founded Five Elements Advisory, designed to work with companies who are looking for new levels of growth & sustainability including start-ups who are passionate to turn a business idea into revenue.

Shubh is an accomplished content creator, actor, photographer, explorer and a creative director. He has been working in the film & content industry for over 13 years. His journey started with mainstream feature films, later shifting towards documentary & digital content. He has filmed campaigns globally for brands like Standard Chartered, ICEA Lion, Uber Eats, BMW Motorrad, Sony, Redbull. He has established himself as a global presence and an influencer. He has produced & created videos for celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Honey Singh, Imran Khan, Shiamak Davar and others. Supratik is a CFA Charter holder and a Certified Financial Risk Manager. Over the years, he has developed a passion for understanding the nitty-gritty of Corporate Finance. He has worked with various companies across multiple industries and have further helped them become sustainable businesses at scale. He has also worked in roles related to Business Valuation, Corporate Finance, Consultancy, Private Equity & Financial Services. Supratik has experience in emerging & frontier markets namely (India, Kenya & Ethiopia), adapting to different work-culture and interacting with people across different communities. He has been responsible for origination & execution of Transactions/Deals.
